LT Foods Receives Certificate of Significant Achievement from CII and Food Future Foundation
LT Foods Limited received a “Certificate of Significant Achievement” in the Large Basmati Rice Value Chains category, for the year 2020 at a virtual ceremony of the 11th CII Prize for Food Security and the 1st National Food Future Prize Foundation for Sustainable Sourcing.
The ceremony was addressed by Rita Teaotia, President of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India and several distinguished national and international speakers. The prize was awarded on the basis of the impact on the environment in terms of reduced water consumption, energy, reduced use of chemicals, pollution and waste management and promotion of the biodiversity.
The jury also examined the impact of sustainable practices on the lives and livelihoods of people in the supply chain, the number of suppliers impacted in the value chain and other quantified impacts.

The company said LT Foods combines sustainability and market linkages as key drivers of farmer engagement. Almost 10,000 farmers have already adopted SRP practices under the LT Agri program. The company combines technological innovations and business requirements for an optimal result for all actors in the value chain and the environment.
