Kobe Bryant crash update: Passengers were negligent, court documents say
The nine people aboard the helicopter crash that killed Kobe bryant and her daughter, Gianna bryant, was “at fault and negligent” in the accident, according to the pilot’s brother, who filed court documents this week, CNN reported.
Lawyers for Berge Zobayan, who is listed as a successor in the interests of the helicopter pilot, Ara Zobayan, said in court documents that “any injury or damage to the plaintiffs and / or their deceased was directly caused in whole or in part through the negligence or fault of the plaintiffs and / or their deceased.
The seven-page court document – which says passengers knew about the risk of the flight when they boarded – is a response to Vanessa Bryant’s wrongful death trial.
“And that this negligence was a substantial factor in the cause of their alleged damages, for which this defendant bears no responsibility,” said the response, according to o CNN.

The complaint said Island Express, the helicopter company, was to blame for the crash, pointing to the helicopter’s negligence in the crash. He said Kobe Bryant “had been killed” because of the pilot’s actions, according to USA today.
Vanessa Bryant’s trial alleged that pilot Ara Zobayan had “failed to exercise caution in piloting the aircraft in question,” according to USA today.
