MANCHESTER, UK, – The Ineos Grenadiers, the last major European cycle racing team to use rim brakes, switched to Pinarello Dogma F disc brakes at yesterday’s GP De Denain in France.

After close consultation with the riders, the performance team, Pinarello and Shimano, this is the first race in the initial phase of disc brake deployment for the team.

“We are always looking for ways to improve our equipment, technology and bike setup to ensure riders have the best options available,” said Carsten Jeppesen, Head of Technical Partners. “Our relationship with Pinarello has always been based on a love of racing and innovation, and their work on the DOGMA F disc should allow our riders to race to their fullest.

“By working closely with Pinarello and Shimano, we will continue to develop the complete disc set, optimizing weight, integration through Dura-Ace and improvements to the quick release system.”

“Pinarello is constantly working to keep our bike ahead of the pack and their commitment to providing us with the best equipment has been evident throughout this project. The feedback from the drivers was also encouraging, ”said race director Rod Ellingworth.

Fausto Pinarello added: “I have been convinced by the disc brakes since I started using them myself and I am happy that the team uses them in the latter part of this season. The INEOS Grenadiers constantly strive for excellence in everything they do and we are thrilled with the DOGMA F record that we have developed with the team.
