Delivery man steps in to help cyclist Grab who had an accident with a taxi

Singapore – A touching incident of cyclists stopping to help another cyclist who has been in an accident with a taxi is circulating in line.
A photo of two GrabFood runners by the side of the road was posted on the Facebook community page SG PCN Cyclist December 31, 2021.
âWhile I was delivering I saw another cyclist from Grab crashed with a taxi. I decided to check if he was okay, âGilbert Ak wrote on his post.
Mr Ak said the runner was not seriously injured and noted that other runners stopped to help.
âHe told me he said his bike was bad now. I told him, it’s okay; I’m happier you’re still alive.
Members of the online community commented on the post, wishing the runner a speedy recovery.
Many also praised their efforts in 2021. âYou have all been great, protecting our food while doing your job in rainy weather,â Facebook user Kah Hong Tan said.
âThey are unsung heroes who roam all kinds of weather to feed our stomachs,â commented Facebook user Arzool Rahman.
âGrab delivery man is not easy (to) earn money. My son also Grab Delivery; I’m also afraid of sometimes having an accident by the side of the road, âadded a worried parent.

Regarding the damaged bike, netizens said that the cyclist’s safety was more important than the damage.
Facebook user Amirul Rashid, who appears to be the biker involved in the crash, said the cost of repairing the bike was too high.
âI ended up only changing the front wheel. As long as he can move and I can continue delivering food, he’s fine. But it will take one to two weeks, âhe said.
When asked if anyone could spare a bike for the given period because they needed the daily income, a certain Derrick Yeo stepped in to donate his bike.
âI have a bike if he doesn’t mind; it is a speed. Pretty new, âsaid Yeo, reaching out to the cyclist to send him his bike. Despite Mr. Rashid’s offer to rent the bike from Mr. Yeo, the latter said he would instead keep the money for his family.
