Boo! Halloween themed BG bike ride | New

The Town of Bowling Green Bike Safety Commission and the Wood County District Public Library are teaming up to put on a slow bike ride with a Halloween twist.
The ride, titled Spooks & Spokes, will take place on Saturday at 2 p.m. Cyclists are encouraged to decorate their bikes and dress in cyclist-friendly costumes. This ride will begin and end at Carter House, 307 N. Church St. Stops will feature local lore, stories, and some of Bowling Green’s most (allegedly) haunted places.
The walks are free, family-friendly and open to all. Every cyclist is required to wear a properly fitted helmet and to ride a bicycle of the correct size in safe and working mechanical condition. Young cyclists, unable to travel alone, are strongly recommended to participate via a towed trailer or child bicycle seat. These rides are intended to be more recreational in nature and will travel at a speed that is comfortable for all cyclists.
While designed for fun and exploration, the monthly rides will also highlight the importance of safe driving practices and the responsibilities of cyclists as they navigate the city streets. Several trained leaders will facilitate the ride to ensure all runners complete the course, including providing assistance with mechanical or personal issues that may arise.
